Oatmeal Cookies II



Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening, softened

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

½ cup sugar

1 egg

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup self-rising flour

3 cups oats, uncooked



Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla til creamy.

Add flour; blend well. Stir in oats.

Drop by teaspoonfull onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 min. Makes 5 dozen.
