Raisin Cinnamon Rolls



Ingredients

1/4 c sugar

1 t ground cinnamon

2 T butter, melted

1/4 c raisins

1/2 Basic Roll Dough


Prepare the Basic Roll Dough letting it rise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Punch the dough down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Cover with a clean cloth and let rest 10 minutes. Use half the dough ball for this recipe and refrigerate the rest or make dinner rolls.

On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 16" x 8" rectangle.

Mix sugar and cinnamon; add butter. Spread over dough. Sprinkle with raisins.

Roll as for jelly roll, starting with edge; seal. Cut in 1" slices (place a piece of thread under rolled dough and pull up around side. Crisscross thread at top then pull quickly)

Place, cut sides down, in greased 9"x9"x12" pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place til it doubles, 30-45 min.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Frost with confectioner's icing if desired. Makes 16 rolls.
